5 Ways to be Healthier Every Single Day

Few things in life are as precious as health – and many would say that nothing can actually reach the same level of importance. A healthy body fuels a healthy mind, a healthy attitude towards life and, ultimately, happiness itself – so yes, being healthy is more than important regardless of who you are, where you live, or what it is you believe in.

How to be healthier with every day that passes by? We have gathered 5 simple, but effective ways to help you achieve that – so read on to find out more.

Sleep

It may sound weird, but sleeping is actually extremely important for your health – so our first tip for you is to sleep. Sounds easy, right? Get your beauty sleep every night, recharge your batteries and be fresh for every day that comes your way. Remember! An adult should sleep approximately 7-9 hours to be fully “charged” with energy – so figure out how much exactly you need to sleep and do it every night, between the same hours.

Your energy levels will thank you, your weight issues will be easier to handle and, ultimately, your psychological state will thank you too. Your metabolism will function better, your brain will be more agile, your creativity levels will skyrocket, your heart will work the proper way…and the list continues on, and on.

Yes, having a good night’s sleep is more than important.

Exercise in the morning

We all know exercising is absolutely crucial for one’s health – but why in the morning? Many specialists advise people to work out in the morning because the endorphins released will have a positive effect over the course of the entire day. Plus, working out at night can spike up your energy levels and leave you restless (which brings us back to point #1, where sleeping properly is really important).

Maximize your moves

Do you go to work by bus? Get off of it one station early and walk up the remaining of the road to work to work. Do you go by car? Replace it with your bike at least once a week. Do you take the elevator? Take the stairs for at least one or two levels at first, then increase the number.

These are simple things, but they can make a world of a difference for your health levels. Combined with regular exercise, these “extra-moves” will keep you happy, healthy and high-energy throughout the entire day.

Look away

If you work in front of a computer, you definitely know how harmful this can be for your eyes. In general, experts recommend you to take very short breaks every 20 minutes and rest your eyes for a bit. The “20-20-20” rule means that you should take a break every 20 minutes, for 20 seconds, and look at something that’s about 20 feet away from you. Keep this rule in min throughout your workday and you will feel the difference!

Be mindful

Be fully conscious of every single second you live. Be grateful for it. Smile more, make more people smile. Eat in silence. Speak only when you truly have something to say.

Sometimes, turning to your “inside” can help you be more conscientious about your health and it can make you take smarter, healthier decisions – such as not eating a burger for lunch, planning your meals one week in advance, drinking water and herbal teas instead of sodas and coffee, and so on. These little things can bring about huge changes – so invite them into your life and be thankful for all the benefits they will come with!
