The usage of customized background rather than default layout always gives u a chance of getting more opportunities,Almost all of the top bloggers have their own customized backgrounds in their twitter profile…

Nice post. I think having any kind of non-default background on Twitter shows “professionalism”, let alone if your background is well thought out and designed.

@Miguel People WILL see through sooner or later if the person is not genuinely an expert. The point is if you ARE one, it does not mean others will see you as one.

I have a friend who have great expertise as a whole-brain trainer for kids but never seem to breakthrough, simply because he lacks the branding and marketing skills to create the right perception.

On the other hand, if you are NOT an expert yet but you are striving to become one, it does help to create the perception first, because you would be extremely motivated to meet people’s expectations.

Kristi – I had to do the same for mine. I am so used to have a massive monitor with big screen res that I forgot that others are still using the 1024×768 :S

Greg – Yea, gimp is a great tool, another I have been using that is free is called Paint.Net. Thanks for the link to your post – I like you background!
