I have finally reached the decision to sell this blog. I have loved every moment of doing it, but the passion is gone and I am now looking for someone who will take what I have started and turn it into something big!
I have listed this blog for sale at digitalpoint: LINK TO AUCTION HERE
If you are interested in purchasing, then please bid through the above link. Even if you are not looking to buy, but you are a member of digitalpoint I would appreciate if you would leave your thoughts as comments there for two reason.
- It will show potential buys the amazing readers that are committed to seeing this blog succeed
- IT will keep my listing on the first page - giving it maximum exposure and a higher sale price!
Here are the details I listed at digital point about the blog:
Website: www.standoutblogger.com
Page Rank: 2
Alexa Ranking: 116,916
RSS Subscribers: 190
Posts: 53 ( Averaging 10-30 comments each!)
TRAFFIC:
Currently averaging 200 uniques a day even though I have only made one post in the last month! During my active posting I was getting as much as 500 uniques a day (averaging about 350).
Traffic comes from a mixture of google searches, and stumble, but I seem to get a fair bit of type in traffic.
about:
Standoutblogger.com includes an amazing custom design that would cost a couple of hundred to get done, as well as an amazing custom logo. I focused a lot on brandability and being active in my nice and it paid off. Within my niche i was starting to gain a growing following which you will notice if you look at my post announcing I was selling: HERE
INCOME:
I havnt resold any of the ad spots this month so that the new owner can start making money straight away. But here is my earnings for last month(considering i didnt make a post!):
$30 - 3 125 adspots at $10 each
$50 - Affiliate income from host gator
$1.84 - Adsense
Total: $81.84
As I was still in the early stages of building the blog, I didnt want to over monetise the blog and scare my subscribers/visitors away. This figure could easily be doubled or tripled this month!
I was offered $35 for a review post, which I turned down as I was looking at selling.
Starting Bid: $1
Bid Increments: $20
BIN: announced shortly
I will give this auction a week so that everyone has a chance to get in, however I reserve the right to close it early if I receive a good enough offer.
I know you will probably all want more info that i missed…so feel free to ask questions below

Thanks guys! I really appreciate your support and how fantastic you have been to me with this blog. I will keep you updated with the sales process along the way!

Hey Tom, it’s sad to see that you’re putting up this blog for sale.
Anyway, I just wanted to give you an advice. I know that you already have it on auction at DP, but it would be a better idea if you put it up on auction at Sitepoint. You’ll get more out of your site there than at DP.

Hey Tom,
Just when I see that you’re back, you’re selling the blog. But I don’t blame you, so best of luck with the sale.
I do agree with Sly on putting it on Sitepoint as well because you’ll probably get more offers and better ones at that!
Jay
Have you placed this site in Sitepoint?
