Well after the success of last sundays question, I am giving you all another chance to give me your thoughts on a topic! Sounds fun right?
Well I am sure the majority of us all stuggle with getting things done, as it never feels like their are enough hours in the day. So today we are going to look at the race against time! And what we can do to make sure we get all the things we plan done.
So I’ll throw it out there:
What do you do to win the race against time and get everything done you plan to do in your day?
Looking forward to hearing all your thoughts!

For me it’s pretty simple. I mean, we can’t get more time than what we have available so we have to figure out a way to squeeze everything in that schedule. Well, I don’t squeeze things, I just cut on sleep! ;) Seriously, I’m never in bed before 12am or 1am even if I work at 9 in the morning. I still have enough time to spend with my gf or go to the gym…But I work on my online businesses from maybe 9 or 10pm to 12-1am. I can usually get a lot of stuff done during that 3 hours.
During the day I can also take care of a couple of things while I’m at work. You know, comment a little on blogs through the day and little things like that.
So there we go, I don’t race with time, I just cut on a couple of things like some hours of sleep!

The way I maximize my time is to plan. I create priority lists of the things I need to get done and want to get done, and prioritize what I should do. I also set goals for what I want to accomplish every day, usually 2 goals.
Sometimes it works, sometimes I just get too lazy and wander the Internet.

I find it very hard to get everything done in a day. Especially when you have to write a post, open and read/delete emails from two email address. Check on all of your accounts, check on google, and then get to your entrecards. Then you have to go and read your comments and reply. If you are ready to put a post up you type it in, tags, seo’s, and all the WordPress stuff. I don’t really know the answer, but some how I do get it all done. But if I find a day to be overwhelming then I have to shut down the computer, and go outside and just forget about everything for a couple of hours and then try to get back to business.
I cannot really do anything against time so for me its just the fact that I should understand that its impossible to beat time. I will do as much as I could for that day and leave the other things for tomorrow

If I have a lot of things to do I mentally categorize them in order of importance or I type them out. If something can wait another day or two it goes to the bottom of the list.
I also try to do two things at once a lot as well. Multi-tasking is a skill that I have and I utilize it in those situations
Hey nowadays due to schooling and college people are going out of time.People probably go in search of time.

I am pretty much like Ben. I cut on sleep. It has been catching up to me though. I am only 29 years old so it’s not killing me yet, but I fear it is going to.
My job is supposed to change to a 4/10 schedule soon so i will have wed, sat and sun off!!! Woo hoo! I can’t wait!

Hi,
To win the race against time, proper planning of work and executing the same is required.
For me it is just planning, I have to plan my day out or I will fall behind. Make sure you schedule blocks of time for your tasks and use them.

I dream & speak what I want, everything else falls into place…:)
A couple of things I do that may or may not be good ideas:
Stay up later and sleep less (except that this makes it even harder to get up in the morning because we can’t all be like DerekSemmler and only sleep 3 hours a night)
Work on multiple things at the same time when possible
Procrastinate on things that generally don’t make a huge difference (dishes, cleaning, etc)
