Dude, do not even trip about this! When I blogged at bloggin-ads, I spent even more hours than that and only made about $300-400 a month with some months that had a slight bonus.

Now that I'm onto arcade sites, I work on them even MORE (less stressful though), but make less than half. It takes time...even if it takes years :)

-Mike

p.s. I'm up to my 7th month on arcade sites too!

I'd consider to go with 1 post every week, or maybe every two weeks. I had these problems as well and I honestly think that it's just wasted time and effort when you let it die, I am not someone to throw something away that has value for me :).

Putting in so many hours and then leaving it to die sounds harsh, rather work a bit on it and sell. It's already nice with a pr3 and has some value in itself.

Sorry for the double comment, but I just noticed that you have over 1,000 readers.

You REALLY don't want to let this blog go.

Most bloggers would kill for a readership of this size!

I'd go with option two.

It's not hard to find time to post a couple of times a month.

The big question really is "Do you enjoy it?"

Don't let it die, then regret it later...

Tom,

I remember reading this article when I first started blogging and it said that most blogs don't really pick up until an average of 12-18 months MINIMUM. I think you are right at that point. This blog is not even a year old yet.

1,000 subscribers is a pretty good amount man. I wouldn't give up if I were you. I think you should take the advice of the previous people about taking some guest posts to hold you over until you can devote more time.

Besides think about all the stuff you can write about after you get back from camp. It may not be standout blogger related but I am sure you will learn a lot about being a standout person which you can translate into blogging.

Anyway, good luck man.

You could work extra hard and come up with some extra articles and get them to auto post while you are gone and get some guest posters. I have seen quite a few blogs sell and fail right after
