I must say, I could not agree with you in 100%, but it's just my IMHO, which indeed could be very wrong.
p.s. You have an awesome template . Where did you find it?

You really got a nice post. Criticism is normal. We surely have it in most things we do. Is it in you on how to accept it. Positive or negative. If you take criticism in negative way, you lose. Look at it in positive way. Observe your mistakes to improve them.
Thank you

This is a great topic for all bloggers. We will always get some form or criticism at one time or another. It's good to be prepared to take it in such a way that you don't let it knock you off track with your goals and vision for your blog. Thanks for sharing your great advice!

That is a great point nick. It is your website so you don't have to do what they say. Thanks for letting me know about the typo, I have been doing these manually at the moment, but just found a great plugin which will automate the 'Subscribe' section.

very good things to keep in mind when asking for advice...here's another one: just because someone says you should change something or don't like something, you don't have to change it, it's your site not their's. Be more like a duck with water and just let it roll off your back.

Since we are handing out criticism, it looks like some proofreading is needed in the "Subscribe to this feed" mention at the end of each post:

your blog Stands Out front he crowd

Keep up the good work!

Great point! It's true, many ask for opinions but aren't really ready for them. Like you said, when we start a project, and spend all hours of the night tweaking every little piece, it can be tuff to take the negative feedback.

I too notice that there seems to be an unspoken connection amongst most bloggers, and they generally want to see each other do well.

It's much easier to approach and befriend a blogger, than many other areas in life. I've found most to be very helpful, and honest.

You can't just walk up to many professionals and ask them how they do what they do and get a real response. However, among the blogsphere, I've seen it happen on more than one occasion.

That said, we have to know how to take the critique, and also learn how to properly give it.

Understanding this helps make the blogging community that much more enjoyable for everyone.

Thanks for that. I hadn't even noticed the misspell!

I can see what you mean about the font, but I will leave it as is for a while just cause I don't really have time to find a new one.

I appreciate the honest feedback!

I love the new site, and this is a great post. It can be hard taking criticism. With that said I'm about to give you more, since you obviously can take it :) Average is spelled wrong on your header, unless that's meant to be spelled wrong... Also the font for Stand Out doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the fonts your using, or with the theme of your page. Honestly though, your posts have been really good. I followed thomassinfield.com for a while.
