Getting Out Of A Blogging Lull!

So you have probably noticed that my posting frequency has decreased dramatically and I really dont have an excuse – except that I’ve hit a lull and I need to find a way to push through.

My new design has been help up a bit and that had been my main motivation and with it taking longer than expected I lost focus as I do easily. However I am pushing to have it completed and up by early next week which is exciting and with it I will be launching my latest free ebook which will be focused on the traits of a successful blogger.

So forgive the lack of posting, and thanks for sticking around! I promise to start posting some decent content shortly :D

I understand Tom. Working on a new design can really consume you and keep you busy. Just get it out there soon and get back to posting!

1000 readers should be motivating enough to post daily :)

No better way to get out of a lull than to write an article about OnePoke lol!! :D

I have had the same problems many times, it seems like there is nothing to post. For ideas just talk about motivation or talk about a tool that you use. As far as motivation to write, that really comes from you, but there are many ways to keep yourself going.

Its always hard to post everyday. Check out the news and social bookmaking sites for new ideas to expand upon.

OK friend it happens a lot. I advise you take a long break(1 week), free your mind and I am sure new ideas will come to mind.

Hehe, I am the last one to give advice on motivation or whatnot. But I’ll still do it anyway. The best way to motivate yourself to do something is to just do it without thinking.

I know how that sounds, but try it :)

Thanks guys, the design is on track for launch early next week! And I have almost finished writing the free ebook that I will be giving away from my site as well.

Starting to work on the marketing of my brothers building design company both online and offline – part-time, starting next week. So I should be able to get some inspiration from what I will be doing there.

Tom, you scared me for a second there!

    I read the title as:
‘I’m getting out of blogging, lol’

Don’t ever do that again! ;)
Btw, you’re forgiven for the lack of posts :D

I recently stumbled upon your blog and I’ve enjoyed your posts so far. I hope you’ll get back into the groove of things as I’d like to see more of what you’re working on.

Hope the design comes along well!

Trust me, I know how it feels! I am a freelancer, blogger and student, and sometimes it is just impossible to meet all those deadlines and keep up your blogging schedule.

It’s really cool to see that every comment here is in support of you. You have a great community here Tom!

Good luck finishing the theme (can’t wait to see it), and good luck getting back into your post routine.

Every blogger has so much work to do, writing, design, marketing, sales and real life. There just isn’t time to get everything done in a day.

Tom, do you have a standard pool of digg friends? I see you always manage to get 9 diggs!

  19. Writing Prompts said on  March 2nd, 2009 at 10:20 am

Good call Ben. I’d love to know your recommendations for how to get a decent number of diggs. I seem to digg things on my site only to have no response :-\.

It is a natural thing and you shouldnt be sorry for it. When you create a new design, you have to make sure that there is no problem in it. So it will take time

  21. game-girl said on  March 3rd, 2009 at 1:01 am

Mind a killer headline in digging. It is one of many factors to be counted.
