Your first point is so true. The effort does equal the results. I have seen this result on many blogs. But I think talent may take away from effort if there is enough of it.

And, as with a hit song, sometimes it only takes one song (or one blog post) to get you “discovered” and make you a household name. Well, even the big name bloggers probably aren’t household names (maybe we’re all in the wrong industry?), but they can probably tell you they had certain posts or certain months that were tipping points for them. :)

Winning Startup – Thanks. The life is one of my favourites. My best friend is actually the one on the keyboard doing the cool rift at the intro :D I play keys but not as good as him so my best chance for making the next album is songwriting and singing. Are you not allowed more upbeat music in Catholic Churches? or is it just your church?

Chelle – stop trying to be perfect is great advice to anyone not just bloggers :D

Nick – At the moment the songs are on a local radio station, but hopefully we can see them expand (preferably internationally)

I listened to parts of those songs and they are really good, I can see these being played on stations such as K-Love in the future. It would be cool to say I know a “famous” songwriter.

I can certainly see how these tips can apply to both songwriting and blogging, but I think for the time being I will apply them to blogging as I don’t have much time for songwriting at this point in time.

That music is pretty good :) My hubby was actually talking to me about this yesterday – he was in a band a long time and said I was pulling a “insert band members name here” about my blogging…so I have to agree with you on this one. His advice was stop trying to be perfect and just do it.
