About a week ago, I completed my latest blog flip. If you don’t know what blog flipping is it really is just buying a blog and then turning around a selling it for more than you paid for it! For me the process took about a week from start to finish and here are the figures:
Blog: StartYourFirstWebsite.com
Purchase Price: $35 (The domain alone was worth more than that I believe)
Sale Price: $200
Who wouldn’t want an extra $165 for a weeks work? And by ‘one weeks work’ I mean part time (cause I barely did anything at all!) read this entry »
I know I haven’t been as active as I would like commenting on all your blogs and just being active in my niche – it is because I have been working on my other blogs. I have been having some fun with a new program called Market Samurai. It is only new on the market and still with a few features to come, but I would have to say that is by far the best search engine optimsation tool I have ever used. I say SEO tool because it is not just a keyword analysis tool – there are many more features!
But I won’t go on anymore about the program because today I want to talk about the results I have had with one of my blogs using the program and discuss the poker of keyword search engine traffic.
For those of you who do not know (which is probably all of you :D), I work for my brother as the marketing manager of his design and drafting business. I created him a website probably 12 months ago, but we never did any promotion and there it probably got 5 visitors a month. Over the last 2 weeks I decided to make the transition from a .com domain to a .com.au because I found that we were having trouble ranking in the Australian search results (which is our target market), and have set the website up as a blog writing posts to target specific keywords . Search engine traffic has been amazing!
The website is Archilads (Don’t criticise design and structure as I’m still working on it)and here are my keyword search engine traffic results after just one week!

(Just so you know, I edited my stats pages so that I could make all the major points visible in the image above. I however did not change any of the numbers.)
I don’t know if you are understanding this, but I only bought the domain on the 11th of May, which is one week prior to start this. Meaning I had to get these terms indexed and ranking in just one week! This is the power of keyphrase or keyword search engine traffic! read this entry »
As I am now an engaged man and with my wedding fast approaching I have been spending a lot of time looking at partnerships. How they work, what makes a good one , what makes one last and why being in a partnership is so much better than going it alone.
What I have found is 5 results of a successful partnership and why I’d rather journey with someone than go it alone.

When you are working on something alone you only have yourself to please and disaapoint. I don’t know about you, but personal satisfaction only does a small amount to keep me motivated. I am very much an ‘other people focused’ type of person – and my motivation and inspiration comes from wanting to help or please someone else.
As my wedding quickly approaches, I have found my passion and drive to make something of myself online has dramatically increase. You see, now that Fiona and I are in a partnership, my sole focus is to be able to provide for her – yet not in a way that will keep me away from home for long periods of time.
My inspiration to work harder and be more creative with my online businesses, comes from my desire to acheive my best for my partner. If I was still going at this alone I would have no where near the passion that I have now. read this entry »
A couple of days ago I asked for readers to submit their questions on Twitter for me to answer. Well 4 of you did, and here they are – with my thoughts! ( I wont say answers because some of them are not looking for answers, but more opinions)
You have to go into Twitter with a plan, just like with anything. If you go in know what you want to acheive from Twitter then you can focus your efforts on that goal instead of getting sidetracked by the latest fads.
Some of the way Twitter can help business could be:
Could not the way Twitter helps business be the same for celebrities?
For celebrities, they are their business! So I don’t see why celebrities could not use Twitter exactly the same as any other business. That is what I would be doing if I was a celebrity.
Maybe I am reading this question the wrong way, but I do not think that Twitter should give you a sense of purpose. You should already have a purpose for whatever you are doing before Twitter, and should only be used to help you achieve your purpose. read this entry »
